The Super Hornet is the single seat version of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. The Super Hornet entered service with the United States Navy in 1999 as the F-14 was retired. The Super Hornet is best known for its use by the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center.
